Panorama Equine Medical & Surgical Center has put together a cost-effective annual preventative health care plan. This plan is for PreventiCare* eligible horses. This program includes an annual supply of the daily deworming product Strongid C-2X. The program is based on a concept of good preventative health care. Maintaining a regular relationship with your veterinarian is an integral part of keeping your horse healthy, which leads to improved performance and a longer life, as well as having the added benefit of reduced feed and supplement costs due to increased digestive efficiency.
PreventiCare
is administered in partnership with
Pfizer, the manufacturer of Strongid C-2X. This program requires a series of preventative health care components. The result of this program, if all the guidelines are followed, is that your horse becomes eligible for the
Colic Assistance Plan. This part of the PreventiCare program provides for up to $5,000 worth of assistance toward the cost of colic surgery and 3 days of aftercare should it become necessary. By participating in the PreventiCare program, not only will you see results of a healthier horse, but you will also receive a 20% discount off regular fees, plus enrollment in the Colic Assistance Plan. The PreventiCare program is available for: - Horses
- Ponies
- Miniature Horses
(Unfortunately, Donkeys and Mules cannot qualify for The Colic Assistance Plan.) * There are three disqualifications for PreventiCare: 1. Any horse that has had previous colic surgery. 2. Any horse that has experienced colic in the last 12 months or has a history of chronic colic. 3. Any horse under 5 months of age or not fully weaned from its mother, or any horse over 20 years of age. Note: Horses enrolled at or before 20 years of age are eligible up to 24 years of age.
