Amanda joined the Panorama Equine team in
September 2007 and works as both grounds maintenance and stall
cleaning. She enjoys her position because of her interactions with
the friendly staff, clients and horses. Thanks to Dr. Wally, she
is known as "Itchy" around the clinic. Background:
Amanda was born in Sacramento, CA and grew up in Happy Valley, CA.
She grew up on a ranch breaking and selling horses from the BLM (Bureau
of Land Management). She was active in the FFA (Future Farmers of
America) and Agriculture programs throughout school.
Hobbies: Long-time hobbies
of Amanda include riding "Quads", snowboarding and other snow-related
activities, basketball, wakeboarding, hunting and fishing.
Recently, she has taken up Archery. Education:
Amanda has received an A.S. degree at Shasta College in the Veterinary
Technician program working towards becoming an RVT (registered
Veterinary Technician). She has completed Chico State
University majoring in Animal Science and minoring in Agriculture
Business. She is now in Scotland at the University of Glasgow where she
has been accepted and has started Veterinary School. She hopes to one day own a cattle ranch and
be a Food Animal Veterinary Practitioner.
