 Debby has been part of the Panorama Equine family since day one. As part-owner, she gets to wear almost every hat, participating in everything from office operations to animal care. Debby’s heart is truly in this farm. She helped the facility grow from ground zero – spending time on the tractor, literally molding the land and helping it grow into the equine hospital it is today. For Debby, this is a dream come true. What started as a vision has become a reality. “Always remember, you have to dream the dream first before it can become realized. That said, life continues to evolve, and the opportunity to improve is ever-present. Be ready!” Background: Debby was born in Arcata, California. She moved to Berkeley, California at age 6, and then to Hallandale, Florida, where she lived until the age of 18. Debby grew up riding horses. She has won various Top 5 Zone and Year-End Awards throughout the years. She received her first show pony at age 11 and began competing on the Florida circuit in the Pony Hunter and Equitation Divisions. From there, she moved on to horses and continued to show in Hunter and Equitation Divisions. Education: Debby studied with Lois and Larry Langer at Pacific Horse Center and graduated from both Horsemastership Programs. She then attended Southern Seminary Jr. College in Buena Vista, Virginia, where she competed on the Intercollegiate Riding Team. While here, she qualified for Regionals and went on to win her class at the Nationals in 1978. Next came a transfer to Florida State University, where Debby finished with a degree in Business and Marketing. While attending college, she continued to show on the Hunter/Jumper circuit. But with her heart on the West Coast, Debby relocated and there is where she and Wally met . . . “and the rest is history!” Hobbies: Debby continues to show the Hunters on the West Coast. Her equestrian highlight was the breeding and raising of her show hunter, Dazzle. In 1999, Debby and Dazzle were the PCHA Region II Amateur Owner Hunter champions. When not riding, Debby loves to spend time with her wonderful family and her friends. Together they enjoy outdoor activities such as water skiing, snow skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. Debby also has an affection for photography and for “good old Rock and Roll music”.
